Web Seminar: Social Software and Distance Education Learners

This seminar, will highlight an educational model for distance and online
learning that leverages social software to help both learners and educators
determine the most effective tool and granularity of application for their
learning needs. A number of current and emerging tools will be demonstrated
along with practices that promise to help us learn from and with each other,
with an emphasis on social learning that includes groups, networks, and the
collective.

iCAN Workshops
We are pleased to announce the "iCan" workshop series for faculty, staff,
and students. Designed for the individual who is not technologically savvy
but needs to know how to do everyday technology tasks, the iCan workshop
series will provide you with valuable knowledge and expertise to help keep
up with today's fast paced computer world. Topics will include such subjects
as burning a CD, purchasing a good digital camera at an affordable price, as
well as understanding Web 2.0 just to name a few.
