Montclair State University will be upgrading the campus Blackboard learning management system during the spring of 2010 to version 9.0. The new version of Blackboard contains tools that faculty have expressed interest in having. This version of Blackboard adds additional features and functionality including new student communication tools (blogs and journals), new group tools and a new user interface for instructors. In addition, Bb 9.0 also has a new and improved Gradebook called the Grade Center. The Grade Center now allows for Calculated Columns, Drop Lowest, Freezing Column and Reporting to name a few.
