
Contact and Hours of Operation
Located on the 5th Floor of University Hall, the University Help Desk is your primary point of contact for all of your technical support service needs. This center combines services from various areas of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) into one central location for your convenience. Among all the support services, the most frequently utilized by MSU faculty, staff and students are the University Help Desk, public and teaching computing laboratories, audio visual and equipment loans, University owned hardware and soft-ware consulting services, video and audio conferencing, AV consultations, mediated classroom support, remote desktop support and training sessions. In addition, we also provide computer virus support* to all resident and commuter students who connect their computers to the MSU network and have computer viruses. *Please note: The University Help Desk Virus Clinic visits are by appointment only. Please contact the University Help Desk (x7971) to schedule an appointment. There are several ways to learn more about the Technology Solutions Center or to request assistance. To reach the administrative offices, please call 973-655-4100. Please Note: OIT is unable to provide hardware support to non-MSU equipment. Please contact your hardware vendor for further information and assistance on hardware support.
Public Computing Labs for Faculty/Staff & StudentsComputing Labs at Montclair State University are run by Computing Lab Services, a part of (TSS) the Technical Support Services. Computing Lab Services provides public access computer labs to faculty and staff and supports technology classrooms for teaching.
