What is the Technology
Solutions Center (TSC)?
The TSC provides a one-stop technology center available to
students, faculty and staff. This center combines services from different
areas of OIT into one place.

- Help Desk & Technology Solutions Center
The Help Desk, located on the bottom floor of
College Hall in the Technology Solutions Center, is available to take computer service
requests and answer basic questions. The Help Desk can be reached at
973-655-7971 (on campus, x7971) or helpdesk@mail.montclair.edu
and is available for the following services at the following times:
Semester Walk-in Support (September - May)
Monday-Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Saturday-Sunday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Phone Support (September - May)
24 hours a day
Summer Hours (June - August)
Thursday, May 13, 2004 - Sunday, May 23, 2004
Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 12midnight
Friday: 8am - 5pm
Saturday: 8am - 5pm

Media Services
Media Services are provided to loan equipment to faculty and staff
members. Available equipment includes: slide
projectors, tape recorders, portable public address systems, and portable
projection screens. Equipment is provided as a
free loan with a valid Montclair
State University ID card. The equipment can be picked up in the
Technology Solution Center on the bottom floor of College Hall during normal
business hours.

Network Connections
The Help Desk
(x.7971 or helpdesk@mail.montclair.edu)
will make arrangements or confirmation for network
connections. They will forward these requests to the
appropriate Information Technology group. Computers may need to be
configured for a particular room or building. Please plan for rehearsal time
at least a day before your event for special presentations with computers,
data projections, network connections, and telephone lines. Have a
contingency plan.

Consulting Services & Training
Consulting services are available to faculty and staff through Training.
To register for a session (faculty, staff or students), please visit the
event calendar or contact Susan Graham at 973-655-5449.
Student Training
A limited number of training sessions
are now available to MSU students with valid ID cards. These sessions cover
basic skills that students need to succeed as they take academic courses. A
list of courses is available through training
and events.
