Web Publishing for Faculty & StaffMSU's web servers provide a convenient method of disseminating information. For more information on web publishing at MSU, please consider attending a training session offered monthly by Information Technology through Training and Events. What is available? Using NetDrive to Manage Files and Publish to the Web NetDrive is a network-based file server that provides every student with 100 megabytes and every faculty/staff member 200 megabytes of storage space. Users access their "home directory" to store documents, pictures, and other data. NetDrive is accessible via any web browser, making it an ideal solution for storing important files for use in a dorm, computer lab, or at home. In addition to basic file storage, students, faculty, and staff can use their NetDrive home directory as their personal web page space. Before NetDrive, it was difficult and awkward for users to author their own web pages. However, NetDrive makes it easy: just by putting .html and image files into the public_html folder, anyone can communicate with the world! Documentation and instructional videos on how to use NetDrive and the public_html folder can be found at these locations: http://oit.montclair.edu/documentationpdf/NetStorage.pdf
